Product Introduction

Learn about the core technology advantages of Exothermic Welding Series

Exothermic welding is a process that uses the high temperature (over 2500°C) generated by the chemical reaction between metal oxides and reducing agents to melt and fuse conductors together. This creates a molecular-level bond that is permanent and has the same conductivity as the original conductor.

Unlike mechanical connections that can loosen over time or crimp connections that may corrode, exothermic welding creates a fusion bond that will never loosen, corrode, or increase in resistance. The welded joint can withstand repeated fault currents and has a service life equal to that of the conductor itself.

Our exothermic welding series includes a complete range of molds, welding powders, and ignition systems suitable for various connection types including wire-to-wire, wire-to-rod, wire-to-flat, and flat-to-flat connections. All products comply with IEC 62561, UL 467, and IEEE 80 standards.

Features

  • Molecular-level fusion bond with zero contact resistance
  • Welding temperature exceeds 2500°C, fuses copper, steel, and other metals
  • Permanent connection that never loosens or corrodes
  • Can withstand repeated short-circuit and fault currents
  • No external power source required for welding
  • Compliant with IEC 62561, UL 467, IEEE 80 standards

Thermite Reaction

Copper oxide and aluminum powder reaction produces 2500°C+ temperature, achieving complete metal fusion

Molecular Bonding

Creates permanent molecular-level bond with conductor, resistance identical to parent material

Corrosion Resistance

Welded joint has same corrosion resistance as conductor, service life exceeds 50 years
